Principal<\/h3>\n

Mr. Lebrun<\/h2>\n

Marcel Lebrun has taught for over 25 years and been involved in Children\u2019s Ministry for 40 years. He\u2019s been a camp counselor, camp director, Youth Leader, teacher, department head, a coach and even part-time professional doctor\u2026clown. His Degrees are in Education, PE, Coaching, Arts Education and he is halfway through his Masters of Arts Degree. Marcel moved to the Island a year ago with his family to teach and coach at Kauai Christian Academy, before becoming the principal at Olelo. He has a heart for the Lord, for children, Educational Leadership and the Island culture.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/5″][vc_single_image image=”4312″ alignment=”center” css=””][vc_column_text css=””]\n

Fifth and Sixth Grade<\/h3>\n

Mr. Colton<\/h2>\n

Colton has been teaching the children of Kauai since 2020 when he started working at St. Catherine\u2019s School as their middle school math and science teacher. He loves joining in with the kids at recess and playing soccer with them whenever he gets the chance and feels so blessed to be a part of the Olelo Christian Academy family![\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/5″][vc_single_image image=”4315″ alignment=”center” css=””][vc_column_text css=””]\n

Second through Fourth Grade<\/h3>\n

Ms. Brown<\/h2>\n

Darrelyn Puanani Brown is Oahu-born and spent a great deal of her older years traveling. She has taught all grades for over 30 years and has been with Olelo Christian Academy since 2017. Her Degrees are Psychology and Biology with a heart for Education.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/5″][vc_single_image image=”4318″ alignment=”center” css=””][vc_column_text css=””]\n

Kindergarten and First Grade<\/h3>\n

Ms. Chelsea<\/h2>\n

Chelsea Aspree was born and raised on the island of Kauai. She graduated with her teaching degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She has been teaching elementary for about 10 years<\/span>. When she wasn\u2019t teaching, she worked as a mentor for high school students. Chelsea has a passion for helping the youth on her island. She has worked with children from Kekaha to Hanalei. She loves the work that she does at `Olelo and is committed to nurturing young learners through the Lord.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/5″][vc_single_image image=”4319″ alignment=”center” css=””][vc_column_text css=””]\n

Preschool Teacher<\/h3>\n

Ms. Sasha<\/h2>\n

Sasha Espina-Ignacio was born and raised here on the island of Kaua’i. This will be Sasha’s fourth year here at Olelo Christian Academy.<\/p>\n

Prior to being a preschool teacher’s assistant, Sasha had a background in health care, but has found her real passion in working with children in a Christ-based environment.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/5″][vc_single_image image=”4314″ alignment=”center” css=””][vc_column_text css=””]\n

Ms. Danielle<\/h2>\n

Danielle Jasmin earned a bachelor’s degree in Leisure, Youth and Human Services at the University of Northern Iowa. Her work experience related to children\/education includes camp counselor, family programs intern, outdoor education instructor and Sunday<\/span> school coordinator\/teacher. She has lived on Kauai since 2009 and is married with two children, who are students at Olelo. She has been a Preschool Teacher’s Aide at Olelo since the fall of 2024.
